Dawson Invests is the first-ever investment club at Dawson College. Created in 2021, the club is entirely operated by its elected student officers and is one of the fastest-growing clubs at Dawson College.
The club’s mission is to teach and encourage smart and ethical investing in a fun yet informative way. Investing allows an individual to grow their wealth and be in charge of their personal finances. This can have significant consequences on an individual’s future and thus makes investing a very important subject that all individuals should learn if they want to live a healthy, happy, and successful life.
Dawson Invests is open to all Dawson College students and the membership fees are entirely paid for by the Dawson Student Union.
As Founder & President, Benjamin manages the club's day-to-day operations and long-term direction.
As Executive Vice President, Bryan helps manage the club's day-to-day operations and long-term direction.
As Senior Vice President, Eric helps manage the club’s day-to-day operations and oversees the other officer’s work.
As Director of Operations, Manuel manages the club's events and meetings.
As Director of Finances, Jay manages the club's budget.
As Director of Communications, Patricia manages the club's social media accounts and emails.
As Director of Marketing, Sofia manages the club's promotion and advertising.
As Director of External Affairs, Museyib manages the club's communications with other organizations.
As Director of Internal Affairs, Angela manages the club's processes and procedures.
Each semester, we will hold an activity that will be open to all Dawson Invests members. This can range from a stock picking competition to a real estate investing presentation offered by a professional. Feel free to contact us to suggest ideas and provide feedback!
With $300 in total prizes, this was Dawson Invests' first investment competition! The competition was available to all Dawson Invests members. The competition started on December 6, 2021 and ended on January 3, 2022.
